Can lipstick on and old shirt preserve its smell?

my gf just noticed a lipstick stain on a shirt in the closet that i haven't worn for a really long time (before i was with her). i have no idea what to tell her. she thinks that I've been sneaking out or something of the sort. but honestly i am a very faithful person. i really hate the shirt and have only worn it once or twice because it is tan and makes me look naked. i told her it was probably from someone else b4 i was with her. she says ';I'm pretty sure lipstick and the smell of it cannot last that long. i smelt it and the smell of lipstick was there. what should i do, i am innocent. (i don't think that has been washed since the last time i wore it.) Thank you in advanceCan lipstick on and old shirt preserve its smell?
Lipstick, like anything does hold it's smell..





If she doesn't believe you, tell her to open a lipstick tube and keep it in a handbag un opened- when she goes to the bag in 6 months time, she will still smell it TRUST ME... This is something I get very good at after a few wines.. hehehehe





she needs to learn to trust you, and don't throw the shirt out yet, or she will say you are destroying evidence!! She needs to get over it and move on..... NO MAN IS STUPID ENOUGH to not wash a shirt after he has cheated....Can lipstick on and old shirt preserve its smell?
Most make does indeed keep its smell. I would wash your shirt immediately....
